Thank you Jo Ann Maxwell of Fearless for the nomination! You have made my day.
My blog started because I wanted to spread the word about Cushing’s syndrome, however the blog took on a life of it’s own, explaining all of my illnesses as invisible ones. I discovered I had a lot to say. I wrote “page” after “page” of content, but those were not blog posts, once I figured out how to actually blog, I had a day to day job to do that gave me a purpose. I now blog for the purpose, it makes me feel good to communicate with people that actually read what I have to say, whether it be about invisible illnesses or day to day life. I feel like I have a job again and that makes me feel less than useless. I needed this blog.
My advice to new bloggers: 1) Let the blog take you where it takes you, and 2) seek out bloggers to follow that have similar interests.

This site is about invisible illnesses and the hidden suffering that they wreak on those who are burdened by them. I suffer greatly, but find writing and sharing ideas important. I use aromatherapy to relax and I enjoy crocheting, beading, painting and research. Being a country gal makes it tough to follow a diabetic diet during the winter months. During the summer, vegetables are plentiful, but during the winter they are scarce. I need advice and help on meal planning. I have a second blog, www.tinabrownsartblog.wordpress.com where I display my paintings. Not very good, but I sure enjoy painting them.
