Twitter

I opened a twitter account. I never really thought I would be interested in one, but since having this blog, I decided to test it out. I go to bed at night with 0 tweets and wake up to over 800 having come across my feed. Now who in their right mind, or any mind for that matter, would sit and read 800 tweets? Not me! I don’t have time for that nonsense and most of the tweets I get are similar to going to Wal-Mart at 1am, just outrageously freaky. Sorry if you are one of the people that go to Wal-Mart at 1am, I’ve been a few times myself, there are some weird looking folks there at that time of night. I get that type of stuff across my twitter feed. I don’t know what to make of it, I searched out things of interest and followed those; various illnesses, crochet, crafts, but nothing weird.

I’ve even “unfollowed” some of the things and I still get weird stuff coming through my feed. I have it set to hide “sensitive” material. I clicked on one once to see just what “sensitive” material was and it wasn’t all that sensitive to me. But, I’m leaving the button clicked on my twitter account just in case.

And there is so much anger and hate on twitter. I went looking for information on invisible illnesses and I’m seeing way too much political turmoil. I stopped watching the news because the political turmoil was affecting my nerves and I suppose I will have to give up twitter now for the same reason. Though, it has helped my blog with more exposure, so I’m reluctant to give it up. I know, rock and a hard place, haven’t we all been there before.

Some people must sit and write tweets constantly. I am getting a lot of tweets from the same people, a constant flow of them, these aren’t bad or weird, just constant. I don’t have time to do that and I don’t know how anyone does. I have yet to figure out how to actually talk to someone on there. It’s a mystery to me.

I suppose I’ll let it rest for now and see what I can make of it as I learn more about the ins and outs of twitter. I have an instagram account, but have never learned how to use that so we’ll see if I advance in tweeting at a later date.

This site is about invisible illnesses and the hidden suffering that they wreak on those who are burdened by them. I suffer greatly, but find writing and sharing ideas important. I use aromatherapy to relax and I enjoy crocheting, beading, painting and research. Being a country gal makes it tough to follow a diabetic diet during the winter months. During the summer, vegetables are plentiful, but during the winter they are scarce. I need advice and help on meal planning. I have a second blog, www.tinabrownsartblog.wordpress.com where I display my paintings. Not very good, but I sure enjoy painting them.
