Quicken – Daily Prompt

I’m not a teenager by a long shot, I’m a 54 year old woman who is madly in love with my husband. My heart will quicken when I hear his truck drive up from work as if I were a teenager. I get excited to see him, to tell him about my day. I am lonely when he is away. Even after over 28 years, I have these wonderful feelings about this man. So having him feeling bad over the last few weeks has been really hard on me and my health. I’ve been overly stressed and it is taking a toll on my bladder. I’m going into a flare, even though I’m trying to fight it, there is only so much I can do to ward it off. Eat properly, make sure I drink plenty of water and not wait to go to the bathroom.

He has started to feel better, but is still having some strange pain in his side. We think he pulled a muscle around his rib cage while at work, but proving it happened at work is another story. We probably won’t even pursue it because it just isn’t worth the time.

My husband is the sweetest, kindest person I know. He gives me his attention, his time, his patience and his love. He takes care of me and watches out for me in all situations. He is my knight in shining armor and best friend. He has slept in hospital chairs, on couches, on cots and was willing to sleep on the floor, but they found him a bed to move into my room. He has driving many miles to take me to doctors, to hospitals, to clinics. He never has a cross word about my health or inability to do housework. He is handsome and sexy too! I am beyond blessed to have this man in my life. He is a part of me at this point in our lives. I don’t think I could live without him. Blessed! I am blessed!

This site is about invisible illnesses and the hidden suffering that they wreak on those who are burdened by them. I suffer greatly, but find writing and sharing ideas important. I use aromatherapy to relax and I enjoy crocheting, beading, painting and research. Being a country gal makes it tough to follow a diabetic diet during the winter months. During the summer, vegetables are plentiful, but during the winter they are scarce. I need advice and help on meal planning. I have a second blog, www.tinabrownsartblog.wordpress.com where I display my paintings. Not very good, but I sure enjoy painting them.
