Heal – Daily Prompt

I have been a bit absent this week when it has come to blogging and reading blogs. My husband and I have been taking care of each other as we heal from our surgeries. We are doing so much better than we were before the surgeries as far as pain is concerned.

To catch you up, he had his gallbladder removed and I had a cystoscopy with hydrodistention on my urinary bladder.

I’ve also been trying to promote my new Avon business this week. No luck. So far I’m the only customer. I always buy from everyone that is selling something, Tupperware, Scentsy, etc. I’m usually the first to help someone out when they are starting out, but not one of these people who I help out are helping me. It hurts my heart, that I go out of my way to buy their wares and they aren’t even signing up for an account with my Avon estore. I don’t know if I will heal from this. I know I won’t be buying for anyone else until I see some action on my Avon estore.

My husband and I have been sleeping a lot this week. Our chores are caught up. We help each other, so neither of us take on the whole ordeal by ourselves, like cooking, he will get in there and help me. That’s my positive for the day.

This site is about invisible illnesses and the hidden suffering that they wreak on those who are burdened by them. I suffer greatly, but find writing and sharing ideas important. I use aromatherapy to relax and I enjoy crocheting, beading, painting and research. Being a country gal makes it tough to follow a diabetic diet during the winter months. During the summer, vegetables are plentiful, but during the winter they are scarce. I need advice and help on meal planning. I have a second blog, www.tinabrownsartblog.wordpress.com where I display my paintings. Not very good, but I sure enjoy painting them.

  1. I am so glad you are both healing well! Surgery does take time to heal physically and mentally. I tend to be like you …. I buy from others to help them out and yes…it does hurt when they don’t reciprocate.
